This summer, our marina office has been livelier than ever – and that’s largely thanks to Tara, our fantastic Summer intern who’s quickly become a valued member of the Beaucette team.
A Fresh Perspective on Work Experience
Tara joined us as part of her work experience placement, and from the moment she walked through the door, she brought with her a fresh perspective, heaps of enthusiasm, and a genuine curiosity to learn.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect at first,” she told us, “but everyone here is so welcoming. It’s such a fun place to work, and I feel like I’m actually part of the team – not just the intern!”
At Beaucette, we’re passionate about supporting local young people and giving them real-world opportunities. It’s been a real pleasure watching Tara throw herself into all sorts of tasks – from taking bookings and chatting with guests to helping with social media content and rolling up her sleeves around the marina.
No two days are the same for Tara. One moment she’s creating Instagram stories, the next she’s explaining the tide times to a boat owner or giving the campsite a tidy-up.
“There’s something about this place that just makes you want to be outdoors and get stuck in,” she says. “It’s so different from school – in the best way!”
We’re proud to offer more than just a workplace – Beaucette is a community. Tara’s already made a lasting impression, contributing great ideas to some of this season’s events and bringing a smile to both staff and guests alike.
As her internship continues, we can’t wait to see what else she’ll bring to the table – whether that’s creative new content, thoughtful input on our workshops, or simply another happy guest experience. Tara’s been an absolute star, and we’re so glad to have her with us this summer.
